The E-Gel High-Throughput Mix Pack allows researchers to try all of our high-throughput format E-Gel agarose gels. These gels use SYBR safe as a DNA stain to minimize exposure to hazardous and mutagenic factors such as ethidium bromide or UV light. Precast E-Gel agarose gels with SYBR Safe, in combination with blue-light trans-illumination, offer better sample integrity and a safer work environment.

Benefits of using E-Gel agarose gels with SYBR Safe include:

  • Better sample integrity—blue-light excitation wavelength minimizes DNA damage, as opposed to UV light
  • Safer choice—contains SYBR Safe DNA stain, a safer alternative to ethidium bromide
  • High performance—detect 3 ng of sample DNA with a separation time as short as 12 minutes
  • No buffers—E-Gel agarose gels do not require buffers to run
