Beschreibung

Methanol is useful in the synthesis of nucleic acids and peptides. It is used as an antifreeze, solvent, fuel, and as a denaturant for ethanol. It is also used for producing biodiesel. It is used for the synthesis of formaldehyde and acetic acid. It is also useful to make chemicals, to remove water from automotive and aviation fuels, as a solvent for paints and plastics, and as an ingredient in a wide variety of products. It plays an important role for the measurement of methyl ester content of pectin.
