Thermo Scientific SMART Digest Immobilized Ribonucleases (Rnases) Columns are designed using the same proven technology as the Thermo Scientific SMART Digest Rnase kits to provide simple, fast and highly reproducible digestion of ribonucleic acid (RNA) in a flow through format.

Obtain high-quality analytical results from mRNA digestions using SMART Digest RNase columns. A significant advance in sample preparation for oligonucleotide mapping, the columns provide fast, simple digestion with high levels of reproducibility, RNase columns use immobilized ribonucleases which allow control of partial digestion to produce required fragments of ideal length for sequencing by HRAM-MS.

RNase columns are available with two enzyme specificities:

  • RNase T1 is an endoribonuclease that specifically degrades single-stranded RNA at G residues
  • RNase A is an endoribonuclease that specifically degrades single-stranded RNA at C and U residues
