Beschreibung

Camphor is used in the preparation of mothballs. It acts as a plasticizer for nitrocellulose, and an ingredient for fireworks and explosive munitions. It is useful in the treatment of sprains, swellings and inflammation. It is also used to synthesize carbon nanotubes by chemical vapor deposition process of camphor.

Anwendungen
Campher wird bei der Herstellung von Mothbällen verwendet. Fungiert als Weichmacher für Nitrocellulose und als Zutat für Feuerwerkskörper und explosive Munition. Ist nützlich bei der Behandlung von Verstauchungen, Schwellungen und Entzündungen und wird auch zur Synthese von Kohlenstoff-Nanoröhrchen durch chemische Dampfabscheidung von Campher verwendet.

Löslichkeit
Löslich in Aceton, Ethanol, Diethylether, Chloroform und Essigsäure.

Hinweise
Nicht kompatibel mit starken Oxidationsmitteln, starken Reduktionsmitteln und chlorierten Lösungsmitteln.
