Beschreibung

Indole-5-carboxylic acid is the suitable reagent used to study the intermolecular excited state proton transfer in indole-2-carboxylic acid and indole-5-carboxylic acid in various solvents in acidic, basic, and neutral media by steady state and time resolved fluorescence spectroscopy. It may be used in the electrochemical synthesis of poly(indole-5-carboxylic acid) (PICA) films. Also used as reactant for preparation of tryptophan dioxygenase inhibitors pyridyl-ethenyl-indoles, as potential anticancer immunomodulators, synthesis of indirubin derivatives and amide conjugates with ketoprofen, as inhibitors of Gli1-mediated transcription in Hedgehog pathway.

Anwendungen
Indol-5-carboxylsäure ist das geeignete Reagenz zur Untersuchung des intermolekular angeregten Statusprotonentransfers in Indol-2-carboxylsäure und Indol-5-carboxylsäure in verschiedenen Lösungsmitteln in sauren, basischen und neutralen Medien durch Steady-State- und Time-aufgelöste Fluoreszenzspektroskopie. Es kann in der elektrochemischen Synthese von Poly(indol-5-carboxylsäure) (PICA)-Folien verwendet werden. Wird auch als Reaktionsmittel zur Vorbereitung der Tryptophandioxygenase-Inhibitoren Pyridylethenylindol, als potenzielle Antikrebsimmunomodulatoren, zur Synthese von Indirubin-Derivaten und Amidkonjugaten mit Ketoprofen und als Inhibitoren der Gli1-vermittelten Transkription im Hedgehog-Pfad verwendet.

Löslichkeit
Löslich in Ethanol (50 mg/ml), Dimethylsulfoxid und Methanol.

Hinweise
Kühl lagern. Behälter an einem trockenen und gut belüfteten Ort dicht verschlossen halten. Von Oxidationsmitteln entfernt aufbewahren.
