It is also used in the synthesis of 3-alkylbenzoxazolones It is used in the manufacture of pharmaceuticals and plant protection compounds. It is used for manufacturing the esters and anhydrides of trichloroacetic acid. It is used in the manufacture of pharmaceuticals and organic synthesis intermediate.
