Beschreibung
1,1,3,3-Tetramethyldisiloxane is used as a monomer in the production of silicone polymers or silicone resins. It is used as a precursor to prepare other organosilicon compounds. It is also utilized in non-aqueous polymer preparation as well as a laboratory reagent.

Anwendungen
1,1,3,3-Tetramethyldisiloxan wird als Monomer bei der Herstellung von Silikonpolymeren oder Silikonharzen verwendet. Es wird als Vorstufe zur Herstellung anderer Organosiliziumverbindungen verwendet. Es wird auch in nicht wässriger Polymerherstellung sowie als Laborreagenz verwendet.
Löslichkeit
Es reagiert mit Wasser zur Herstellung von Dimethylsilanol, Dimethylsilandiol und Wasserstoffgas.

Feuchtigkeitsempfindlich. Von Zündquellen fernhalten. Kühl lagern.
