Beschreibung

Indole-5-carboxaldehyde is used as a reactant in preparation of curcumin derivatives as anti-proliferative & anti-inflammatory agents; and in synthesis of para-para stilbenophanes by McMurry coupling. It is also used as a reactant in stereoselective synthesis of dibenzylideneacetone derivatives as β-amyloid imaging probes and in structure-based drug design of aurora kinase A inhibitors.

Anwendungen
Indol-5-Carbonsaldehyd wird als Reaktant bei der Vorbereitung von Curcumin-Derivaten als anti-proliferatives und entzündungshemmendes Mittel und bei der Synthese von Para-para-stilbenophanen durch McMurry-Kopplung verwendet. Wird auch als Reaktant bei der stereoselektiven Synthese von Dibenzylideneaceton-Derivaten als β-Amyloid-Bildgebungssonden und bei strukturbasierten Wirkstoffdesigns von Aurora-Kinase-A-Inhibitoren verwendet.

Löslichkeit
Unlöslich in Wasser.
