Anwendungen
Für Standard-DNA-Anwendungen wird Agarose, hohe Schmelztemperatur, mittlere Auflösung für Standard-DNA-Trennungen verwendet. Sie ist an der Aufreinigung von Proteinen beteiligt, indem sie eine säulenbasierte präparative Skalentrennung wie bei der Gelfiltrationschromatographie und der Ionenaustauschchromatographie verwendet

Wasserlöslich.

Hinweise
Schmelztemperatur: ∼88 °. Feuchtigkeitsempfindlich und hygroskopisch. Nicht kompatibel mit starken Oxidationsmitteln und starken Säuren.
