Anwendungen
Acrylsäure dient als Vorläufer bei der Herstellung von 3-Hydroxypropionsäure. Wird bei der Herstellung von wasserabsorbierenden Harzen verwendet. Reagiert mit Alkoholen, um die entsprechenden Ester herzustellen. Seine Ester werden als Rohstoffe für Kunstharze, Kautschuke, Beschichtungsklebstoffe, Wasserlacke, Bohnerwachs und Klebstoffe verwendet. Wird auch zur Herstellung von Homopolymeren oder Copolymeren durch Reaktion mit anderen Monomeren wie Acrylamiden, Acrylnitril, Vinyl, Styrol und Butadien verwendet.

Mit Wasser mischbar.

Hinweise
Hygroskopisch. Leicht und luftempfindlich. Nicht kompatibel mit starken Oxidationsmitteln, starken Basen, Sauerstoff, Polymerisationsinitiatoren, Aminen und Peroxiden.
