Beschreibung

1-Chloroethyl chloroformate acts as a reagent in the selective N-dealkylation of tertiary amines. It is also used as a reactant in the preparation of alkyl 1-chloroethyl carbonates. Further, it is used for N-demethylation reaction in the determination of multiple drugs of abuse in biological fluids using capillary electrophoresis with native fluorescence and laser-induced fluorescence detection. It plays an important role as a catalyst for the chemoselective desilylation of silyl-protected alcohols. In addition to this, it is used to cleave benzhydryl groups from amines.

Anwendungen
1-Chlorethylchlorformiat wirkt als Reagenz bei der selektiven N-Dealkylierung tertiärer Amine. Es wird auch als Reaktant bei der Herstellung von Alkyl 1-Chlorethylcarbonaten verwendet. Darüber hinaus wird es zur N-Entmethylierungsreaktion bei der Bestimmung mehrerer Drogen in biologischen Flüssigkeiten verwendet, wobei Kapillarelektrophorese mit nativer Fluoreszenz und laserinduzierter Fluoreszenzdetektion verwendet wird. Es spielt eine wichtige Rolle als Katalysator für die chemoselektive Entsilylierung von silylgeschützten Alkoholen. Darüber hinaus wird es verwendet, um Benzhydrylgruppen von Aminen zu spalten.

Löslichkeit
Mischbar mit den meisten organischen Lösungsmitteln.

Hinweise
Feuchtigkeitsempfindlich. Kühl lagern. Nicht kompatibel mit starkem Oxidationsmittel, starken Basen, Alkoholen und Aminen.
