Invitrogen propose du paclitaxel à des fins de recherche uniquement à une pureté >98 % par HPLC. Le paclitaxel, anciennement taxol dans certaines publications scientifiques, est le nom générique approuvé pour l’anticancéreux pharmaceutique Taxol (marque déposée de Bristol-Myers Squibb Co). Le paclitaxel favorise l’assemblage de la tubuline, produisant des agrégats qui ne peuvent pas être dépolymérisés par dilution, ions calcium, froid ou un certain nombre de médicaments perturbateurs par microtubules. Les cellules de culture traitées avec du paclitaxel sont bloquées dans les phases G2 et M du cycle cellulaire.
Usage exclusivement réservé à la recherche. Ne pas utiliser pour des procédures de diagnostic.
