Pour permettre le traçage simultané à long terme des populations de cellules mixtes à l’aide de différentes couleurs fluorescentes, nous avons développé une sonde dont les applications devraient être similaires à celles de CFDA SE (communément appelé CFSE). Les cellules marquées avec notre acide carboxylique SNARF-1, acétate, ester succinimidylique présentent une fluorescence orange-rouge qui peut être facilement distinguée de celle des cellules chargées avec des traceurs fluorescents verts tels que CFDA SE.
