Silencer® siRNAs are designed using our
first-generation algorithm and do not include any chemical
modifications. They are recommended for completing in
vitro RNAi studies that were started using Silencer®
siRNA. For new studies, we recommend Silencer®
TaqMan™ Advanced miRNA Assays,
based on a universal RT approach, provide even greater sensitivity
in biological fluids and proven TaqMan™ specificity.
TaqMan™ MicroRNA Assays, based
on the specific stem-loop primer approach, are the gold standard
for sensitivity and specificity.
The miRNA control assays are unique to each assay chemistry type
(universal RT or miRNA- specific stem loop RT) and cannot be used
with the other assay chemistry.
TaqMan™ Pri-miRNA Assays quantitate primary
microRNA (pri-miRNA) transcripts, the initial RNA molecules in
the microRNA (miRNA) biogenesis pathway.
Small, synthetic, double-stranded RNA molecules designed to mimic
endogenous mature miRNAs. They are supplied ready-to-use; they
can be introduced into cells using transfection or
