Preparation: This antibody was obtained from a rabbit immunized with purified, recombinant Human CD66c (CEACAM6) (Met1-Gly320) and conjugated with FITC under optimum conditions, the unreacted FITC was removed.
Storage: This antibody can be stored at 2C-8C for twelve months without detectable loss of activity. Protected from prolonged exposure to light. Do not freeze!
Target Information
CEA Cell Adhesion Molecule 6 (CEACAM6) belongs to the carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) family whose members are glycosyl phosphatidyl inositol (GPI) anchored cell surface glycoproteins. Members of this family play a role in cell adhesion and are widely used as tumor markers in serum immunoassay determinations of carcinoma. CEACAM6 affects the sensitivity of tumor cells to adenovirus infection. The acts as a receptor for adherent-invasive E. coli adhesion to the surface of ileal epithelial cells in patients with Crohn's disease.
