Expression of Muscarinic acetylcholine receptorM4in C6 transfected cells - Immunocytochemical staining of paraformaldehyde-fixed and permeabilized C6 cells. A. Transfected cells were stained using Anti-CHRM4 Antibody (#AMR-004), (1:100) followed by goat Anti-rabbit-AlexaFluor-594 secondary Antibody (red). B. Product Specific Information
Reconstitution: 25 µL, 50 µL or 0.2 mL double distilled water (DDW), depending on the sample size. The antibody ships as a lyophilized powder at room temperature. Upon arrival, it should be stored at -20C. The reconstituted solution can be stored at 4C for up to 1 week. For longer periods, small aliquots should be stored at -20C. Avoid multiple freezing and thawing. Centrifuge all antibody preparations before use (10000 x g 5 min).
Target Information
Muscarinic acetylcholine receptor M4 is an Acetylcholine Receptor. Unlike muscarinic receptor M2, the M4 receptor is not involved in smooth muscle contraction. The clinical relevance of this receptor is unknown. However, mouse studies have linked it to adenylyl cyclase inhibition. Muscarinic acetylcholine receptor M4 has been reported to be expressed in many regions of the rat brain, particularly the striatum and hippocampus. ESTs have been isolated from human breast and eye libraries.
