Fabtech
North America’s largest metal forming, fabricating, welding and finishing event, FABTECH, is being held next week at McCormick Place in Chicago. As always it will feature an array of educational programs, workshops, and more than 550,000 square feet showcasing the latest technology and equipment for the fabrication and manufacturing industry. FABTECH represents every step of the metal manufacturing process from start to finish. It’s where new ideas, products and technology are highlighted through interactive exhibits, education and networking.
With 35,000 attendees and 1,500 exhibiting companies, you will have to carefully plan out your agenda for the November 18-21 conference to ensure you get to see everything you want before the Conference ends. Of course we hope you make time to see the latest in portable x-ray fluorescence technology and get a free demo of our XRF metal alloy analyzers. (Click here to add Booth # S4117 and its map location to your FABTECH agenda.)
In addition, make sure you take advantage of FABTECH’s Cocktails and Comedy event that takes place Wednesday night in the FABTECH Theater, Grand Concourse. You should have gotten a complimentary admission and beverage ticket with your event registration. It’s a great opportunity to connect with your peers and enjoy a night of laughs. The lively interaction between performers and the audience will have you falling out of your seat with laughter… at least that’s how they promote it.
If you’re spending a few extra days in Chicago, there is no shortage of things to do in the area. I would recommend touring the Art Institute of Chicago, shopping the Magnificent Mile, or stopping at Navy Pier. And if you’re looking for someplace to eat, head to North Michigan Avenue and go to one of my favorite restaurants, Heaven on Seven. I think they serve the best gumbo outside of New Orleans, and offer a selection of more than 100 hot sauces. It’s the spiciest food in Chicago.
Hope to see you in Chicago!
