Hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) are primarily found in the bone marrow and are also present in peripheral blood and umbilical cord blood. These multipotent stem cells are responsible for lifelong blood formation (hematopoiesis), continuously replenishing all blood cell types. HSCs can self-renew and differentiate into mature blood cells but do not generate cells of unrelated tissues.

HSCs play a critical role in research on blood disorders and hematologic malignancies. CD34 is a widely used marker for identifying human HSCs. We offer serum-free media for CD34+ cells, along with tools and methods to isolate CD34+ cells from blood or bone marrow to support your research.
