SamStat-30 Representative Slurry Sampling Stations

Catalog number: 19514C
The Thermo Scientific™ SamStat-30 Slurry Sampling Station is a high availability, low head loss solution for the representative sampling of critical mineral slurry streams. It samples full process streams with a multistage, representative sampler to deliver composite samples for metallurgical accounting and continuous sampling to gravity feed nearby online analyzers. Low head loss minimizes plant elevation requirements which minimizes the impact of implementing sampling systems into mineral processing plant design and layout. The SamStat-30 is highly configurable with every system customized to meet user requirements with options for inlet and outlet locations, distribution, oversized particle screening and a sampling zone for particle size measurement. This low head loss full flow sampling approach yields significant savings in plant construction costs by reducing height requirements while providing a high availability minimal maintenance solution while providing representative samples required to operate minerals processing plant efficiently and profitably over the long term.

Choose the SamStat-30 Slurry Sampling Station for full flow representative sampling to produce composite samples for metallurgical accounting.

Choose the SamStat-30C Continuous-Flow Sampling Station to generate a continuous representative flow for online elemental analysis with the MSA-330 and GS Omni.

Choose the SamStat-30R Reverse-Flow Sampling Station to generate a continuous representative flow for online particle size measurement with the PSM-500.

All SamStat-30 systems provide reliable, dedicated, representative sampling with minimal manual input for real-time process measurements, to support the more efficient operation of mineral processing plant. Key features include:

  • Very low head loss, simplifying design and layout for sampling while eliminating sample pups and reducing overall plant head requirements.
  • Highly configurable multi-stage design with options for integrated analysis (see AnStat-330), for customization for each application.
  • Range of tanks available to efficiently handle a wide range of volumetric flow rates.
  • Easily replaceable, fixed polyurethane cutters, for reliable, long-term service with minimal maintenance.
  • Baffle and weir in each stage, for effective froth management.
  • Low maintenance, for trouble-free operation over the long-term with minimal maintenance as the only moving parts are found in the final stage cross-cut sampler
  • Open layout, for easy inspection and performance monitoring.
  • Flange-to-flange supply, for savings in engineering design and construction costs.
  • Multistage sampling, for highly representative proportional stream sampling down to the final stage, an environmentally hardened cross-cut sampler for accurate accounting samples.
    • A range of additional options, for optimized operation, for each application including:
    • Pebble screen to reject oversized particles from cyclone overflow for return to the grinding circuit. This option is suggested as a back-up to a primary oversize and tramp material screen located upstream on the primary grinding circuit product.
    • Outlet distributor to divide the slurry flow into two or more separate streams of specified flow volume percentage.
    • Upwelling/reverse flow sampling zone provides ideal sampling conditions for particle size analysis (see PSM-500)
    • Vacuum Filter for composite sample
