Trypsin (1:250), Pulver

Trypsin (1:250), powder (Cat. No. 27250018) is prepared by adding the 0.25 g of Trypsin powder to 100 mL of chilled HBSS (Cat. No. 14170112) to create a 0.25% solution.

For 1% solution, you would add 1g of trypsin powder to 100 mL of chilled HBSS.

The solution should be mixed for approximately 10 minutes, and the pH should be between 7.4-7.8. The solution should be sterile filtered (0.22 µm filter) and stored -20 degrees C.

When Trypsin (1:250) powder (Cat. No. 27250018) is reconstituted, the protease molarity should be 0.25%. Therefore, the protease molarity should be 0.105 mM.

We recommend the following instructions to reconstitute Trypsin (1:250), powder:

1. Add 0.25 g of trypsin powder to 100 mL of chilled HBSS (Cat. No. 14170-112) to create a 0.25% solution.
2. Mix the solution ~10 minutes and adjust pH to 7.4-7.8.
3. Filter the solution with a 0.22 µm filter and store at -20°C.

1:250 indicates the activity level of the trypsin enzyme. Trypsin 1:250 has the potency to bring about proteolytic digestion of 250 times its weight of casein under conditions specified by the National Formulary.
