          PTP1B Antibody (MA5-25574) in ICC/IF

          Immunofluorescence analysis of PTP1B was performed using 70% confluent log phase MCF-7 cells. The cells were fixed with 4% Paraformaldehyde for 10 minutes, permeabilized with 0.1% Triton™ X-100 for 15 minutes, and blocked with 2% BSA for 60 minutes at room temperature. The cells were labeled with PTPB1 Monoclonal Antibody (Product # MA5-25574) at 1:100 dilution in 0.1% BSA, incubated at 4 degree Celsius overnight and then labeled with Goat anti-Mouse IgG (H+L), Superclonal™ Recombinant Secondary Antibody, Alexa Fluor 488 (Product # A28175)...           Target Information

          PTP1B (PTPN1) is a tyrosine-protein phosphatase which acts as a regulator of endoplasmic reticulum unfolded protein response. It mediates dephosphorylation of EIF2AK3/PERK and in turn inactivates the protein kinase activity of EIF2AK3/PERK. PTP1B also plays a role in CKII- and p60c-src-induced signal transduction cascades. It regulates the EFNA5-EPHA3 signaling pathway which modulates cell reorganization and cell-cell repulsion. PTP1B also regulates the hepatocyte growth factor receptor signaling pathway through dephosphorylation of MET.
