Phospho-PRPS1 (Ser180) Antibody (PA5-106230) in IHC (P)
Immunohistochemistry analysis of Phospho-PRPS1 (Ser180) in mouse kidney tissue. The sample was formaldehyde fixed and a heat mediated antigen retrieval step in citrate buffer was performed. Samples were incubated with Phospho-PRPS1 (Ser180) polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-106230) using a dilution of 1:100 (4°C overnight) followed by HRP conjugated anti-Rabbit secondary antibody.

Antibody detects endogenous levels of PRPS1 only when phosphorylated at S180.
Target Information
This gene encodes an enzyme that catalyzes the phosphoribosylation of ribose 5-phosphate to 5-phosphoribosyl-1-pyrophosphate, which is necessary for purine metabolism and nucleotide biosynthesis. Defects in this gene are a cause of phosphoribosylpyrophosphate synthetase superactivity, Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease X-linked recessive type 5 and Arts Syndrome.
