CK2 alpha-1 Antibody (PA5-17534) in WB
Western blot analysis was performed on whole cell extracts (30 µg lysate) of A549 (Lane 1), A-431 (Lane 2), U-87 MG (Lane 3), HCT 116 (Lane 4), MCF7 (Lane 5) and MKN45 (Lane 6). The blot was probed with Anti-CK2 alpha Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA5-17534, 1:1000 dilution) and detected by chemiluminescence using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG (Heavy Chain) Superclonal™ Secondary Antibody, HRP conjugate (Product # A27036, 0.25 µg/mL, 1:4000 dilution). A 44 kDa band corresponding to CK2 alpha was observed across the cell lines tested.

Target Information
CSNK2A1 is a serine/threonine protein kinase that phosphorylates acidic proteins. The kinase exists as a tetramer and is composed of an alpha, an alpha-prime, and two beta subunits. The alpha subunits contain the catalytic activity while the beta subunits undergo autophosphorylation. The protein encoded by CK2 alpha-1 represents the alpha subunit. While CK2 alpha-1 is found on chromosome 20, a related transcribed pseudogene is found on chromosome 11. Three transcript variants encoding two different proteins have been found for CK2 alpha-1.
