MCHR1 Antibody (PA5-24182) in IHC (P)
Immunohistochemistry analysis of MCHR1 in formalin fixed and paraffin embedded human brain tissue. Samples were incubated with MCHR1 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-24182) followed by peroxidase conjugation of the secondary antibody and DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry. Clinical relevance has not been evaluated.

This antibody is predicted to react with mouse and rat based on sequence homology.
Target Information
MCHR1 is a member of the G protein-coupled receptor family 1. It is an integral plasma membrane protein which binds melanin-concentrating hormone. The encoded protein can inhibit cAMP accumulation and stimulate intracellular calcium flux, and is probably involved in the neuronal regulation of food consumption. Although structurally similar to somatostatin receptors, this protein does not seem to bind somatostatin.
