Neutralization of CXCL9 in BaF3 mouse pro‚B cell line transfected with mouse CXCR3. Samples were incubated in CXCL9 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-47020). Recombinant Mouse CXCL9/MIG chemoattracts the BaF3 mouse pro‚B cell line transfected with mouse CXCR3 in a dose-dependent manner (orange line). In sandwich ELISAs, less than 0.5% cross-reactivity with recombinant human (rh) CXCL9/MIG is observed and less than 0.005% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse MIP-2, recombinant rat CINC-1, rhGRO alpha, rhGRO beta, and rhGRO gamma is observed.
Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Endoxin level is <0.10 EU per 1 µg of the antibody by the LAL method.
Target Information
MIG, also known as CXCL9, is a T-cell chemoattractant inducible by gamma interferon that is a member of the CXC chemokine family of cytokines.This gene is mapped to 4q21. It is noted that, although the best-described activities of the chemokines are as chemotactic factors, chemokines also have an effect on T-cell activation, angiogenesis, and HIV infection. While most CXC chemokines are chemotactic for neutrophils, MIG and INP10 are unusual and similar in being CXC chemokines that are chemotactic for lymphocytes and inactive in neutrophils.
