CHL1 Antibody (PA5-47259) in WB
Western blot analysis of CHL1 in 0.2 mg/mL lysates of mouse brain (cortex) tissue and mouse brain stem tissue. Samples were incubated in CHL1 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-47259) using a dilution of 2.5 µg/mL followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Goat IgG at a dilution of 0.0763888888888889. A specific band was detected for CHL‚1/L1CAM‚2 at approximately 196-201 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using the 12-230 kDa separation system.

Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the L1 gene family of neural cell adhesion molecules. It is a neural recognition molecule that may be involved in signal transduction pathways. The deletion of one copy of this gene may be responsible for mental defects in patients with 3p- syndrome. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants of this gene have been described, but their full length nature is not known.
