Immunohistochemistry analysis of BRD7 on paraffin-embedded human colon cancer tissue. Antigen retrieval was performed using citrate buffer (pH6, epitope retrieval solution) for 20 mins. Target Information
BRD7 acts both as coactivator and as corepressor. For example, it activates the Wnt signaling pathway in a DVL1-dependent manner by negatively regulating the GSK3B phosphotransferase activity. In addition, it is required for TP53-mediated cell-cycle arrest in response to oncogene activation. BRD7 promotes acetylation of TP53 at Lys-382, and thereby promotes efficient recruitment of TP53 to target promoters, inhibiting cell cycle progression from G1 to S phase.
