The Amylase Reagent is suitable for manual use or on automated clinical chemistry analyzers.
Amylase is most frequently measured in the diagnosis of acute pancreatitis when serum levels may be grossly elevated. Hyperamylasemia is associated with, but not limited to, other acute abdominal disorders, biliary tract disease, diabetic ketoacidosis, severe glomerular dysfunction, salivary gland disorders, ruptured ectopic pregnancy and macroamylasemia. Applications for a wide range of automated analyzers are available on request.
