Caractéristiques du SMPH :

• Groupes réactifs : Ester NHS et maléimide
• Réactif vers : groupes amino et sulfhydryle
• Légèrement plus long et soluble que le SMPB
• L’ester NHS réagit avec les amines primaires à un pH de 7 à 9, formant une liaison amide stable
• Le maléimide réagit avec les groupes -SH à un pH de 6,5 à 7,5, formant une liaison thioéther stable
• Non clivable
• Hydrosoluble (dissoudre d’abord dans du DMF ou du DMSO)
