Isophthaloyl dichloride is used in a variety of performance polymers and fibers, where it impacts flame resistance, temperature stability, chemical resistance, and flexibility. In addition, it is an effective stabilizer for urethane prepolymers due to its ability to scavenge water. Also used in aromatic fiber raw materials.

This Thermo Scientific Chemicals brand product was originally part of the Alfa Aesar product portfolio. Some documentation and label information may refer to the legacy brand. The original Alfa Aesar product / item code or SKU reference has not changed as a part of the brand transition to Thermo Scientific Chemicals.
