The Thermo Scientific Pierce Small Molecule System Suitability Standard provides a pre-formulated mixture of nine small-molecule standards to assess system performance in both positive and negative ionization modes for TSQ Triple Quadrupole and Orbitrap Exploris mass spectrometers.

Pierce Small Molecule System Suitability Standard features include:
Comprehensive—mixture of nine small-molecule compounds (mass range: 76–1279) designed to assess instrument performance in both positive and negative ionization modes
Highly validated—high-quality, rigorously-tested formulation with lot-specific certificates of analysis
Convenient—pre-formulated ready-to-use liquid format
Diagnostic—excellent QC assay tool for quality assessment of LC and MS instrument status

The Pierce Small Molecule Suitability Standard (SMSS) is a ready-to-use formulation optimized for the assessment of MS instrument performance for metabolomics applications. The standard contains a mixture of nine compounds with a mass range of 76–1279, appropriate for small molecule analysis (see table below). The standard has been designed for use with TSQ Triple Quadrupole and Orbitrap Exploris MS series instruments to verify individual system and multiple system performance. Additionally, the SMSS enables quicker identification of sub-optimal system performance, enhances troubleshooting, and provides standardization to help obtain higher quality data. The SMSS is manufactured at an ISO 9001 facility and each lot is quality controlled with strict specifications.
