NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. This promotion is open to Thermo Fisher Scientific ("Sponsor") customers in EMEA excluding Finland, France, Iran, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Syria, Turkey and United Arab Emirates. The promotion excludes Thermo Fisher Scientific employees and their immediate families, its agencies and anyone else professionally connected with the promotion. One winner (only) (“Winner”) will be selected by a panel of Sponsor’s employees comprising Product Managers with scientific backgrounds in Cellular Biology and Electroporation. Criteria for judging the winning entries will be based on their research application, relevance, and need for the Neon NxT electroporation system. The Winner(s) will be selected approximately on November 22, 2024, from all eligible entries received. The Winner will be notified by email, telephone, or mail within approximately 14 days after the drawing date. If a winner is unreachable or does not make direct contact with the Sponsor by the date specified in the notification, or fails to accept the prize, the prize will be forfeited in its entirety and the submission that garnered the next highest number of votes or was judged as next runner up will be selected as the winner. The Sponsor reserves the right to require the Winner to provide a formal written declaration of eligibility in a form specified by the Sponsor. If asked and the Winner fails to do so within the time limit specified, the prize may be forfeited in its entirety and an alternate winner will be selected from the remaining eligible entries. Healthcare professionals (“HCPs”) and healthcare organisations (“HCOs”) (each as defined in the Medtech Europe Code of Ethical Business Practice and, if wider, as defined by applicable local law) and Government Officials as defined below are excluded from this promotion and by participating the customer warrants they are not an HCP, HCO or Government Official, or entering on behalf of such person or entity. In addition, those prohibited by employment, contract, or by law from entering the promotion or accepting a prize from the Sponsor are excluded. No cash, credits or other substitutions are permitted, except by the Sponsor, which reserves the right to substitute the prize with one of equal or greater value. Prize is not transferable. Any taxes on the prize are the sole responsibility of the Winner. Thermo Fisher Scientific makes no warranties, express or implied, in connection with promotional products or prizes. Please note that the value of the specific offer(s) the customer may receive under this programme may be considered as a gift/advantage, and as a result pursuant to applicable local law, it could give rise to declaration, notification, publication or reporting by the customer. By participating in this offer the customer warrants it will comply with all applicable local laws and regulations, and any associated reporting obligations. For the purposes of these terms and conditions, Government Official shall mean (i) Any officer or employee of a government or any department, agency or instrument of a government; (ii) Any person acting in an official capacity for or on behalf of a government or any department, agency, or instrument of a government; (iii) Any officer or employee of a company or business, university or institution owned or funded in whole or part by a government; (iv) Any officer or employee of a public international organization such as the World Bank or United Nations, the European Union or the World Health Organization; (v) Any officer or employee of a political party or any person acting in an official capacity on behalf of a political party; and/or (vi) Any candidate for political office.
