How to use the reusable slide and accelerate your cell counting with Rapid capture

The reusable slide is a cost effective way to perform automated cell counting and Rapid capture will minimize steps when using the Countess 3 Automated Cell Counter in brightfield mode.

How to save your data

Following cell counts, data can be saved in the cloud or to a USB drive. Select from five file types and select Autosave to automatically save the files of your choice.

How to use onboard calculators

Use the pre-dilution calculator to correct for dilutions prior to counting including a quick trypan blue 1:1 dilution correction selection. Use the cell splitting calculator to set up cell culture vessels with the optimal cell densities.

The result, image, and data files can be easily saved to a USB drive or by Wi-Fi enabled connectivity to the Thermo Fisher Connect cloud-based platform service. There are five different files that can be saved. Autosave enables automatic saving of data, so there is no need to select Save after each count.

  • The “Result” and “Images” files can be saved as JPEG, TIFF, or PNG files.
  • The “Report” file is a PDF file and includes the result and image files.
  • Data files are in CSV format, which:
    • can be easily imported into your current analysis software or viewed in Excel software.
    • has the option to save All, Last 30 Days, Last 7 Days, Today, or Current.
  • The “Cell Data” file is an FCS file for advanced individual cell data plotting and analysis.
Save options screen shows various files that can be saved, data destinations, and editable field for sample name along with field for enabling autosave.
