SNAP25 Antibody (MA5-17609) in ICC/IF
Immunofluorescence analysis of Synaptosomal-associated protein 25 was performed using 70% confluent log phase PC-12 cells. The cells were fixed with 4% paraformaldehyde for 10 minutes, permeabilized with 0.1% Triton™ X-100 for 15 minutes, and blocked with 2% BSA for 45 minutes at room temperature. The MA5-17609 immunogen is human Synaptobrevin 1 (aa 1-118) and Synaptobrevin 2(aa 33-96).
Target Information
SNAP25 is a t-SNARE involved in the molecular regulation of neurotransmitter release. It may play a role in the synaptic function of specific neuronal systems. SNAP25 associates with proteins involved in vesicle docking and membrane fusion. It also regulates plasma membrane recycling through its interaction with CENPF. Mutations in the gene can results in myasthenic syndrome.
