          ANP Antibody (702539) in WB

Western blot analysis was performed on Tissue extracts (30 µg lysate) of Mouse Heart (Lane 1), Rat Heart (Lane 2), Mouse Brain (Lane 3) and Rat Brain (Lane 4). The blots were probed with Anti-NPPA (ANP) Recombinant Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody (Product # 702539, 1-2 µg/mL) and detected by chemiluminescence using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG (Heavy Chain) Superclonal Secondary Antibody, HRP conjugate (Product # A27036, 0.4 µg/mL, 1:2500 dilution). A 17 kDa band corresponding to NPPA (ANP) was observed only in Heart tissue extracts tested. Known quant... View More {{ $ctrl.currentElement.advancedVerification.fullName }} validation info. This antibody is predicted to react with Monkey, Cat, Pig

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning in the specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Then, individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production. The advantages of using recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies include: better specificity and sensitivity, lot-to-lot consistency, animal origin-free formulations, and broader immunoreactivity to diverse targets due to larger rabbit immune repertoire.

          Target Information

The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the natriuretic peptide family. Natriuretic peptides are implicated in the control of extracellular fluid volume and electrolyte homeostasis. This protein is synthesized as a large precursor (containing a signal peptide), which is processed to release a peptide from the N-terminus with similarity to vasoactive peptide, cardiodilatin, and another peptide from the C-terminus with natriuretic-diuretic activity. Mutations in this gene have been associated with atrial fibrillation familial type 6.
