Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin) analysis of PCYOX1 in human kidney tissue using PCYOX1 Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA5-119353) (20 µg/mL) and using PBS intead of the primary antibody as a control. The sample was then stained with HRP-Goat anti-Rabbit IgG polyclonal secondary antibody (2 µg/mL). DAB staining.

Prenylcysteine is released during the degradation of prenylated proteins. PCYOX1 catalyzes the degradation of prenylcysteine to yield free cysteines and a hydrophobic isoprenoid product (Tschantz et al., 1999 ).
