This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-84473. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
Target Information
Members of the lipocalin family, such as LCN9, have a common structure consisting of an 8-stranded antiparallel beta-barrel that forms a cup-shaped ligand-binding pocket or calyx. Lipocalins generally bind small hydrophobic ligands and transport them to specific cells (Suzuki et al., 2004 ).
