Thus, we are thrilled to announce the 2026 Thermo Fisher Scientific Allergy Research Award, formerly known as the PhARF award. This esteemed award recognizes and supports the work of early career international scientific researchers who have made remarkable progress and advancements in the field of allergy research. Since its inception in 1987, this award has recognized the work of over 50 of today's foremost allergy researchers from around the globe, acknowledging their groundbreaking contributions to the field.
The application deadline for the 2026 Thermo Fisher Scientific Allergy Research Award has now passed. Next call for applications for the 2027 Thermo Fisher Scientific Allergy Research Award will open in November 2026.
Up to $50,000 USD in support of forefront allergy research. It is provided as a research grant to the successful candidate’s institution, based on a research grant agreement with Thermo Fisher Scientific.

This year’s award recognizes the research of Alexandra Santos on improving the diagnosis and precision of IgE testing for common food allergies in childhood. Her research will be supported with a $50,000 USD research grant to King’s College London.
