It contains the following components: molluscs and crustaceans, fish and fish by-products, grain, yeasts, vegetable protein extracts, oils, fats, seaweed, sugar, lecithin, and permissible foodstuff colourings and antioxidants. The manufacturers describe the product as comprising protein (46%), fat (8%), fibre (2%), ash (11%), and water (6%).

Clinical Experience

IgE-mediated reactions

TetraMin® may uncommonly induce symptoms of skin or inhalant allergy in sensitised individuals. No reports of hypersensitivity reactions to Tetramin® have been made in the peer-reviewed medical literature; however, as a consequence of its ingredients, e.g., crustaceans, which are important allergens, these reactions are possible.
