The KingFisher Ready MagMAX Viral/Pathogen II (MVP II) Prefilled Plates (Cat. No. A47183) include plastics (plates, tip combs, etc.) that are otherwise purchased individually. Prefilled plate kits simplify lab inventory storage by bundling components together. They also reduce the time requirement for mid-to-high-throughput labs that otherwise have to manually pipette wash buffers and beads using standard kit reagents. Lastly, prefilled plate kits reduce hands-on interaction, thus reducing the potential for user-error and variability and the risk of re-do's and time-consuming troubleshooting.

The steps involving the Elution Solution and Proteinase K Solution require manual pipetting.

The KingFisher Ready MagMAX Viral/Pathogen II (MVP II) Prefilled Plates (Cat. No. A47183) are currently labeled with “date of manufacture”. Real-time stability tests have confirmed a 12-month stability from date of manufacture. 

The KingFisher Ready MagMAX Viral/Pathogen II (MVP II) Prefilled Plates (Cat. No. A47183) are optimized for saliva and swab (transport media) sample input. However, it is possible to customize some of the kit components and the KingFisher script in order to accommodate different input types.
