Linear polyacrylamide solution for DNA/RNA precipitation, 5mg/ml, Molecular Biology Grade should be stored at -20 degrees Celsius.
We recommend that you use the following instructions:
1. Add 1-2 µL of Linear polyacrylamide to 500 µL DNA solution in more than 0.1 M salt (acetate). 1-2 µL (5-10 µg) of 5 mg/mL Linear polyacrylamide (LPA) solution is adequate for 500 µL DNA or RNA solution.
2. Add 2.5 times the sample volume of ethanol. Vortex the mixture or mix gently and incubate in a freezer for 10-15 minutes.
3. Centrifuge for 10 minutes at top speed in a microcentrifuge. A visible pellet will form.
4. Carefully decant or remove the supernatant. The linear polyacrylamide pellet does not stick tightly on the bottom of the microcentrifuge tube. Be careful not to discard the pellet when you remove the supernatant.
5. Carefully wash the pellet with ethanol and let dry.
