How do I prepare 1 L of 0.1 N Silver nitrate from one unit of Silver nitrate, Acculute Standard Volumetric Solution, Final Concentration 0.1 N?

We recommend the following protocol to prepare 1 L of .1N Silver nitrate:

  1. Transfer the entire contents of the bottle into a 1 L volumetric flask.
  2. Rinse the bottle residue, the threads of the bottle, and the inner bottle cap with deionized water, and transfer to the 1 L flask.
  3. Repeat the step 2 rinse three times.
  4. Bring the 1 L flask to volume with deionized water and mix well. The final solution in the 1 L flask has a concentration of 0.1 N.
