Platinum™ Quantitative PCR SuperMix-UDG is a ready-to-use mixture for high-specificity, real-time quantitative DNA amplification, containing UDG to prevent carryover contamination (1,2). The system is optimized to provide superior performance with either LUX™ Fluorogenic Primers or probe-based detection systems.

Platinum™ Quantitative PCR SuperMix-UDG:

• Is highly sensitive and specific
• Allows room temperature reaction assembly (3)
• Is easy to use-just add template and fluorogenic primers or probes for detection
• Includes a vial of 50 mM MgCl2 to accommodate a variety of primer/template PCR systems
• Is compatible with most real-time instruments

Applications: Real-time quantitative amplification of DNA from complex genomic, viral, and plasmid templates, RT-PCR, and fluorometric SNP (Single Nucleotide Polymorphism) detection.

よくあるご質問(FAQ)

Why is UDG important in the Platinum Quantitative PCR SuperMix-UDG mix?

UDG and dUTP are included to prevent the reamplification of carryover PCR products between reactions. dUTP ensures that any amplified DNA will contain uracil, while UDG removes uracil residues from single- or double-stranded DNA, preventing dU-containing DNA from serving as template in future PCRs.

'Chromogranins A (CGA) and B (CGB) are two major Ca(2+) storage proteins of the secretory granules of neuroendocrine cells. Nevertheless, we found in the present study that CGB was also localized in the nucleus. In immunogold electron microscopy using bovine adrenal medullary chromaffin cells, it was found that the number ... More
A gnotobiotic transgenic mouse model for studying interactions between small intestinal enterocytes and intraepithelial lymphocytes.

The mouse intestinal epithelium undergoes continuous renewal throughout life. Intraepithelial lymphocytes (IELs) represent a significant fraction of this epithelium and play an important role in intestinal mucosal barrier function. We have generated a germ-free transgenic mouse model to examine the effects of a genetically engineered proliferative abnormality in the principal ... More
Floral responses to photoperiod are correlated with the timing of rhythmic expression relative to dawn and dusk in Arabidopsis.

Daylength, or photoperiod, is perceived as a seasonal signal for the control of flowering of many plants. The measurement of daylength is thought to be mediated through the interaction of phototransduction pathways with a circadian rhythm, so that flowering is induced (in long-day plants) or repressed (in short-day plants) when ... More
