HI-Res Sequencing Primers are specifically engineered to improve sequencing performance at the 5' end of reads, a region that has traditionally been difficult to resolve with standard primer designs. By optimizing primer characteristics and sequencing signal behavior, these primers enable clearer peak resolution and more reliable base calling in early read regions.

Historically, achieving improved 5' end resolution required modified workflows using alternative polymers such as POP-6™, often introducing additional complexity, time, and verification requirements. HI-Res primers enhance 5' end resolution within standard sequencing workflows using POP-7™ polymer.

These primers are designed to work in conjunction with the BigDye™ Terminator BDT Plus Cycle Sequencing Kit, where the combination of optimized primer design and advanced enzyme chemistry enables improved sequencing performance across a wide range of sample types. This integrated system supports consistent results, even when working with challenging templates such as GC-rich regions or structurally complex sequences.
