VetMAX™ Mycoplasma Gallisepticum/Synoviae Reagent

VetMAX Mycoplasma gallisepticum/synoviae Reagent contains primers/probes targeting Mycoplasma gallisepticum/synoviae, an agent of upper respiratory infection in poultry. Infections of multiple-age layer flocks are common and may contribute to decreased egg production. The infection can be transmitted vertically and horizontally. Once infected, individuals and flocks become chronic carriers. Real-time PCR is the most commonly used identification method for these mircroorganisms, enabling precise identification of pathogen nucleic acid and allowing for reliable and rapid testing of animal-derived samples.

 

VetMAX Mycoplasma gallisepticum/synoviae Reagent is approved for use as part of the NPIP (National Poultry Improvement Plan)-certified diagnostic test for Mycoplasma gallisepticum/synoviae as of 2016 under the United States voluntary control program.
