General Description

• Lopinavir is a retroviral protease inhibitor that acts as an antiretroviral and can prevent the propagation of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and hepatitis viruses within cells

• Lopinavir is a dicarboxylic acid diamide and a substituted form of amphetamine

Applications

• Lopinavir may be used in the laboratory study of other retroviruses

• Lopinavir is suitable for laboratory research of drug delivery systems; some studies have shown that the activity of lopinavir can be enhanced by alternative delivery methods such as microencapsulation
