Efficient-Pro Medium (+) Insulin is a next-generation Chinese Hamster Ovary (CHO) medium used in the production of proteins such as monoclonal antibodies (mAbs), offering significant performance and ease-of-use improvements compared to other products.

Designed to work optimally with the Efficient-Pro Feed system, Efficient-Pro Medium (+) Insulin has been formulated specifically for use with insulin-dependent CHO cell lines. The Efficient-Pro system increases titer and specific productivity, improves protein quality, and is easier to use and scale with convenient formats and multiple packaging configurations available.

Efficient-Pro Medium (+) Insulin is a chemically defined and animal-origin-free (AOF) cell culture medium based on the Efficient-Pro Medium formulation with the addition of recombinant human insulin. It is designed for the bioproduction of mAbs and other therapeutic proteins in both batch and fed-batch bioprocessing workflows. It helps support the growth and productivity of insulin-dependent CHO cell lines by eliminating the need for manual insulin supplementation. This modification reduces handling steps, minimizes variability, and helps improve workflow efficiency.
