CTS (Cell Therapy Systems) StemFlex Medium is a xeno-free medium designed for robust expansion of feeder-free pluripotent stem cells (PSCs). The optimized formulation supports stressful applications for translational and clinical research and offers a flexible feeding schedule. PSCs expanded in CTS StemFlex Medium maintain stable karyotype, pluripotency, and tri-lineage differentiation potential across multiple passages and cell lines.

Robust recovery and clonal expansion

CTS StemFlex Medium promotes consistent growth across multiple passages and supports high viability post single-cell passaging. The medium delivers efficient recovery following electroporation and achieves editing efficiencies similar to research-use-only (RUO) StemFlex Medium. CTS StemFlex Medium supports clonal expansion while maintaining pluripotency and normal karyotype of edited clones.

Workflow flexibility

CTS StemFlex Medium supports a flexible feeding schedule, including weekend-free feeding, and is compatible with different matrices and passaging reagents.

Simple transition

Induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) and embryonic stem cells (ESCs) grown in other adherent culture media can be transitioned to CTS StemFlex Medium within a few passages without the need for extensive optimization. Additionally, cells cultured in CTS StemFlex Medium can be adapted to CTS StemScale PSC Suspension Medium, helping achieve consistent fold expansion per passage in suspension culture.

GMP manufactured

Gibco CTS products are manufactured at a site that uses methods and controls that conform with cGMP for medical devices, 21 CFR Part 820, helping ensure consistent quality. Our FDA-registered manufacturing site is ISO 13485-certified. Specific intended-use statements, full documentation traceability, and convenient access to our Drug Master File (DMF) are available for CTS StemFlex Medium.
