The TrueMark Amplification Control I for TrueMark plates contains a linearized multi-target plasmid pool with microbial target sequences used on TrueMark infectious disease research panels. The control has targets relevant to respiratory, urinary, vaginal, and genital microbiota research. The control can be included as a positive control for panel-specific amplification. It is available in two concentrations:
5 x 107 and 1 x 10
5 copies/μL. The higher concentration can be used to determine parameters necessary for analytical validation (e.g., limit of detection and Ct cut-off values).
The plasmid also contains target sequences for TaqMan Universal Extraction Control Organism (Bacillus atrophaeus) and the human RNase P gene. During real-time PCR, the control can be used as a stand-alone sample to verify assay performance and to help with troubleshooting.
