Tryptose Phosphate Broth is recommended for the cultivation of streptococci, pneumococci, meningococci and other fastidious organisms. Tryptose Phosphate Broth with added agar and sodium azide is recommended for the isolation of pathogenic streptococci from cheese and other dairy products1,2.
